For those of you with GSM or Verizon Galaxy Nexus, you are in luck as the AOKP Team has been pushing out some great stable Android 4.4.2 KitKat releases of their awesome AOKP ROM along with all of the customization you are used to. (For those of you with Sprint Galaxy Nexus, I highly suggest you to check out BeanStalk, Carbon, ParanoidAndroid, or Omni ROM for great Android 4.4.2 experience)

Download AOKP 4.4.2 Gapps (I highly suggest using these Gapps for 100% compatibility, you can try using other 4.4.2 gapps but if you have trouble or get any errors, try this one.)
To install, reboot into recovery, make backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install Gapps and reboot. (If for some reason you end up in a bootloop, reboot into recovery, go to Advanced Wipe for TWRP or Mounts & Storage for CWM, format/wipe /system, then re-install ROM.)
